Aerie sweater I Aerie solid color sweater I Time and Tru maternity jeggings
OMG I am in LOVE! So last year I bought a pointelle sweater from Aerie that I was so in love with. It was so warm and soft with the prettiest knitted design. I am anxious for warmer weather to be able to wear it again. Down here in Savannah it will probably start getting cold enough for sweaters right around the time I deliver baby #2 so I will be able to bring out all my prematernity goodies. Anyways, I digress.... I began noticing Aerie sweaters on some other bloggers and started taking a look. They are so amazing! Aerie is really killing it in putting out comfy, cozy essentials for the warmer weather and everything is coming in the prettiest colors.
I found this super adorable Aerie chenille turtleneck sweater and am obsessed. First of all, if you don't know about chenille then you need to start learning about it and pick up a chenille sweater IMMEDIATELY! Chenille is ridiculously soft and so so sooooo warm for those chilly fall and winter days. It is so soft that I am all about wearing it and curling up on a couch. Most chenille sweaters are flowy and loose because of the thickness.
I also particularly love that this sweater has a nice long fit which makes it perfect for leggings. Actually, the company states that this sweater is made for leggings. Being in maternity pants now and probably for a good month after birth, I like that the length is long enough to cover the belly panel. My fear with wearing regular shirts is that they will ride up and expose the belly panel of my pants. I also wear a belly band for support as well. I don't really want my white, girdle feeling band exposed because of a simple arm raise.
Let's talk about these stripes! The colors are so bright and fun yet the brown is a great neutral for fall. The sweater would be great paired with a pair of white jeans, blue jeans, leggings or even a pencil skirt. With a top that is oversized it is important to keep the bottoms more fitted. It would look great with a pair of boots (ankle or mid shaft), or even a pair of ballet flats to keep things feminine and light. If you are looking for something more neutral and basic, the sweater comes in TONS of other colors. You can find all the solid colors HERE. There are some really pretty solid colors like the pink and the yellow.
Fall, I am ready for you. It is still about 90 degrees and humid as can be. I am in this transition stage where I am anxious for fall weather but at the same time I am having a hard time getting in a fall sweater buying mood when the thought of a sweater makes me sweat even worse. Once that hint of fall chill is in the air, you can bet I will be grabbing this Aerie find, drinking a PSL, and taking a stroll to look at the leaves.
