Fall has always by far been my favorite season. The crispness in the air. The fall colors. The crunchy leaves. Pumpkin Spice everything and of course the fashion. The clothes have a sense of coziness without feeling like a nuisance (I am looking at you winters in Chicago). I love the feeling of bundling up with a sweater or cardigan, a nice fall boot or loafer, or even a light jacket. Old Navy has always been one of my favorite places to go for affordable basics like tees and sweaters. They fit well and usually can last through multiple years. Today I want to share with you my top 5 items I am loving. A couple of these I have already purchased and the others might be sitting in my cart waiting for purchase.
Textured Mock-Neck Blouson-Sleeve Sweater
This is the sweater in my picture and just so amazing. It is such a soft knit and I love the blouson sleeves. It adds an extra girly, feminine touch. A mock-neck is great because it has the look and feel of a regular turtleneck but not as restrictive as a turtleneck. It is so warm and comes in several super cute colors. I am wearing a Large so that it can fit over my baby bump but even after birth I think the large would fit great. It works well as an oversized sweater.
Rib-Knit Trim Crew-Neck Sweater
I recently bought this sweater and anxious to have it delivered. I ordered it in a pretty pink but it also comes in multiple beautiful colors. Basic sweaters are so classic and great to wear with a pair of jeans, dress pants, or a skirt. It would also be perfect added over a button down for ap preppy feel and a statement necklace. To add a pop of something I will add a scarf with a pretty print. There is some nylon in it so I expect a little stretch in the sweater which is great for now and my bump that seems to get exponentially bigger each week.
Jacquard Boyfriend Blazer
This jacket is waiting for me in my cart. A jacquard jacket is a very classic look. I love the way a blazer looks with jeans and paired with either a tee or button down. It would also be great with a cute fall skirt or simple dress. It really is a great versatile jacket. It is great to wear to work but you can also wear it to go out on the town. There is also an adorable brown and black houndstooth print as well.
Waist-Defined Faux-Wrap Tiered-Hem Midi dress
A dress will always be my favorite clothing item. It is so easy and effortless. I am so in love with this print. Plaid is so great for fall. The dress also comes in a pretty pink. I would pair this with a cute wedge or ballet flat. The dress also comes in a really pretty pink plaid as well. Add a short cardigan on top for those cooler temps. The bottom of the dress is so pretty and has a feminine flair. The midi length is my favorite dress length. I don't like when my dresses are too short but am not always in the mood for a maxi length. It is such a flattering and versatile length.
Crochet-Lace Trim Split-Neck Shirt
A nice button down is a serious closet staple. They are perfect alone, under sweaters, under jackets or blazers and super versatile. I love when there are extra little touches added to them to make button downs a little less boring and simple. I am obsessed with the crochet collar and sleeves on this top. It gives the top a bit of chicness with a vintage touch. I would wear this with a pair of jeans and ballet flats or heels, a cute floral skirt, or a pair of trendy pants. I'm not sure if it will fit over my baby bump right now but I think I may buy this and keep it for after delivery. I can't resist!
Old Navy, I can't get enough of your looks this year. You are keeping me coming back for more and more.
